Meet your makeup artist

If you know me from Primp, hi again.

I'm Ashlee Bivins. I started the makeup side of Primp Hair and Makeup Studio, which I used to co-own, and I've been doing makeup professionally for 20 years. More than a thousand weddings later, if you tell me you want "barely any makeup" and then show me a picture of J.Lo, I know exactly what conversation we're about to have.

I went on to build Sprayd Airbrush Tanning in Broken Arrow. I love that studio, and I missed weddings. I missed the part where it hits you that you're actually getting married today, usually while I'm trying to get mascara on you. Excellent timing, by the way.

And I need you to know something. Every single time a woman sits in my chair on her wedding day, I feel the weight of it. The honor of it. The trust. She's sitting down on one of the biggest days of her life and saying, "Here. Help me feel like myself… but braver."

I'm back doing weddings, this time on my own with Sprayd Airbrush Makeup. When you book with me, I'll be the one doing your makeup on your wedding day. For larger bridal parties, I'll bring my assistant along. We're both licensed estheticians, so your skin is in good hands from the moment you sit down.

You'll book hair separately, and I'll coordinate with your hairstylist so you can settle into one chair at a time and actually enjoy getting ready.

Why "Sprayd"?

Because I spray it on. Airbrush makeup goes on as a fine mist instead of being rubbed in with a sponge, so it looks like skin, not makeup. It's lightweight and built to last through the vows, the happy tears and the dance floor. Same airbrush idea as our spray tans. Very different spray.

Bridal suite, venue, your mom's living room. I'll bring the kit, get everyone through my chair, and keep us on schedule. You can sit down for a minute. Somebody else can answer the text about parking.

You can bring me six screenshots and say, "I want the eyes from this one, the skin from that one, and whatever she has on her lips." That's actually very helpful.

We'll try the look, tweak whatever you want, and take photos so we know exactly what we're doing on wedding morning. And if you're happy to send me a photo and have me do your makeup for the first time on the wedding day, I do that all the time. The trial is there if seeing it on yourself would make you feel better.

I'll come to you, set up, and get everyone ready for photos. Once you're in my chair, the group chat can survive without you for a minute.

Can I get my spray tan from you too?

You tried on the dress. Now try on the tan.

Come see us at Sprayd Airbrush Tanning in Broken Arrow for a trial tan two to three weeks before the wedding. If you have the time, give us three. Wear it around, see how you like the color, and tell us if you want a little more or a little less. Then come back to the studio two days before the wedding for your bridal tan.

Do you do hair too?

You'll book your hairstylist separately. Tell me who you're working with and I'll coordinate the makeup schedule with theirs. You've already spent enough time figuring out where everybody needs to sit.

Do I need a makeup trial?

It's totally optional. I'm comfortable doing your makeup for the first time on your wedding day from an inspo photo. If you'd feel better seeing the look on yourself ahead of time, book a $95 trial at Sprayd Airbrush Tanning.

What if we have fewer than five people?

The five-person minimum is for on-location weddings, and the bride counts. Smaller group? Come get ready with me at Sprayd Airbrush Tanning in Broken Arrow.

Do you travel?

Yes. Bridal suite, venue, your mom's living room, anywhere in Oklahoma. Send me where you're getting ready and we'll go from there.

For planners, photographers & venues

If first look is at noon, I know what noon means.

Tell me when you need the bride in her dress and I'll work backward from there. I'll coordinate with hair, show up early, and build a makeup schedule you can actually put on your timeline. Bigger bridal party? I can bring my assistant.
